Our love is a beautiful war.

Love,

Love looked like a prison to me as a child
There was food and shelter but not much else

Love,
m.
He needs her
She is the water for his scorched tongue
But, he speaks a language of love that is foreign to her

I stopped trusting because of you
I need action not words
Saying all the right things means nothing
when you've done me wrong
Am I paranoid or am I just getting older

Love,

m.

I want to find heaven with you.

The Wonder

All around me,
connected circles permeate my body, mind and soul
It starts with the eyes and ends at the fingertips
Searching for harmony like constellations
Revealed when a song crescendos on the radio at your entrance
The phone rings upon envisioning you fondly
and lights flicker if having callous thoughts
The caveat of hearing a car horn in the distance to signal another miserable mood
A gust of wind that triggers pages to turn and stop on a verse describing my worthiness
Hearing a stranger happen to say your name when trying to forget it
The anomaly of love needs its patterns

Even If

He looks for kisses whenever we meet
They taste sweeter than English Cadbury chocolate
If I do not kiss him, he pouts
And it pleasures me to tease him
I busy my mouth with a smoke
and he tells me that he is jealous of my cigarette
But I am addicted to these and attracted to you
Can you not wait for my affection
Or do you crave me
Are you willing to surrender, even if there is pain
because I only want to heal with you

He wanted a lover for sex
She wanted a lover for love.....

Mirrors

Fire my soul
Put sugar on my burnt tongue
I want your attention like a cool breeze in July
Beauty hurts for an ageing woman
Love me as much as you hate me so we can both be numb
You have carried me over broken glass
Glass that you broke because it caught your true reflection
Will our history, lead to a future

Like Mother, Like Daughter

For a daughter,
a mother's love must be soft
Tenderly, let your daughter know that you believe in her
and will trust her
From then on she'll have confidence to tame the wind
while being as free as the waves in the ocean
Tell her to never sacrifice her dreams only her nightmares
And if she ends up with someone like her father
make sure you are the woman you want her to become
