It Pours

Listen to the rain
The ovation of the gods
The falling of the droplets soothe me
The ground embracing like a baby for milk
The sky a whitish grey as a few strands
In my age I will never tire of the rain
It clears the ashes and quiets the world
Rain in the morning makes me wet
Rain in the evening makes me glisten
The vain use the puddles as mirrors
while the droplets make them look like a Monet
And the girls scurry because they just got their hair did
now
It done wrong
I just stand and stick my tongue out to taste the precip
Reveling, like it were a fine wine
